The Creature of Lake Silver StreamLaney hated late summer. For the past 6 years, her parents sent her off to Camp Silver Stream for two weeks of fun-filled activities. Worse, the camp was girls-only, and the closest boys’ camp was a Christian place. Not surprisingly, the two camps did not participate in any inter-camp group activities. Laney resented the camp and everything about it. Silver Stream was more like a resort for spoiled rich girls, and she resented the snobby girls who looked down on her. I like the story quality of this piece and the twists you threw in. I'm not sure how the ghost of a croc was able to physically kill and eat Natalie, but I guess it's ok not to waste a lot of space with that, just like Star Trek never explained how someone could teleport without collapsing dead on the other side. It's fiction, and reality is boring . Someone wanting to read of hot girls getting wolfed down might be disappointed that only one hot girl was eaten, but I think that's fine when you're looking for something deeper than mindless t&a. I'd say it was good, also because it gave me insight into the minds of the cold-hearted (I mean your characters, hopefully not you ).
